Ok - just out of couriosity. Let's assume kexec works. What's next.? How bootmenu picks up the correct kernel?

thats something id have to look at but ***IF*** kan be made to work boot menu would be rendered basicly null d void as we could get someone to code a basic app for maemo that would run the required commands to boot into android and operate a proper dual boot without any complicated installes (easy debian like)

weell thats way over my head lol. im not sure how kexec works fully myself yet

ok back to porting tomorrow so im wondering if anyone on here has manged to/can explain how i can get the 2.6.29 android omap kernel or a newer 2.6.32(froyos base kernel) tro build for n900 as currently i get loads of build errors about omap_derial_init or something, i heard its down to the moto milestone serial drivers but im not sure how to remove those edits

help anyone ?

Ad. instructions to install Android on N900 - Would it be possible to upload something like a ZIP file with files I need to move on the SD card? Id like to try in on my device, but I dont know how to patch the kernel and stuff ...

theirs a great howto on page 30 and im sure someone on here can explain any problems you have (ill help out also where i can, havent had alot of tiem to dev today been busy with other things
