When my n900 is connected via wifi to my home network, I want to be able to connect to it from my desktop PC without connecting the USB to transfer files. How do I set this up?

I'm not quite sure either. I think your best bet is to use some kind of FTP.

The best way (IMHO) is to use WinSPC, works fine for my purposes
