I also tried to make a payment with wirecard (the only cc i have), didn't succeed either. Probably it's because our wirecard is a german cc, while you're not in germany... and unfortunately some online stores block that kind of behaviour.

I already tried creating a "fake" german ovi account, and accessing the site via a german web proxy, but both failed. So, no Ovi for us wirecard cc owners... too bad

Yes! I got wirecard working, i'll make a quick tutorial... although i probably shouln't reccomend doing this (see caution)

CAUTION: Since this method connects your n900 to a proxy, you are going to send all your personal data (cc info, ovi store account info) over a 3rd party proxy server. It shouldn't be a problem though, since the ovi store uses a https connection, as pycage kindly pointed out in the post below. That means your data should be encrypted, and the 3rd party proxy won't be able to read the data, he only forwards the data. Also, the TOR network we're using here, seems to be pretty legitimate.
Anyway, the warning stays, since you should ALWAYS be very careful with spreading your creditcard info over the interwebz.

Step1: create a "fake" german ovi account - that means just a regular account, but with Germany listed as your country (tbh i don't know whether this step is required or not, but i did it with a german account)
Step2: install "Tor Status Area Applet" from the maemo repositories
Step3: reboot for the applet to show itself
Step4: connect by tapping the area applet, enable onion routing, click save - tor is connecting to a proxy now, wait a few seconds until it's connected
(Step5: you can check whether tor is active by browsing to http://check.torproject.org)
Step6: check the county of your ip, for instance at http://aruljohn.com/, to make sure tor gave you a german ip adress. You have to be connected to a german proxy (tor does this 50% of the time, but not always - if you know how tor works, adding a bridge is probably easier, but i don't know that works so for me the noob method was easier ) Anway, if you're not behind a german ip, disconnect from tor and repeat step 4-6
Step7: browse to http://store.ovi.com, and you can shop as usual! (with your german wirecard cc and your german account off course)

Not quite. HTTPS connections (unlike HTTP) are just forwarded by a proxy. The proxy has no easy means to read the encrypted data unless it spoofs its identity and performs a man-in-the-middle attack.
