Oh, it can be as integraded (because gnash/swfdec would be fully OSS) but good luck trying to py something as common as Youtube (which despite all the press it doesn't play due to some cookies related regression).

You can also hope that some developers get more interested in Gnash now that Adobe has also cancelled Flash for 64bit operating systems, and the old version available has 30 or so security holes, with half of them already being exploited in the wild. How many of those also apply to the Maemo5 version btw?

As for Google/Street Maps issue, why not complain directly to them? Maybe they can even put a special user agent match for Maemo5 users (they usually do for the Wii, etc.).

None- official yet, but there are rooted devices that have it. Desire and Nexus. Flash 10.1 beta 3 is working on Froyo.

I have full Flash 10.1 beta 2 on my Incredible, but not a big difference with Flash Lite 4, since the main update is GPU support that will be in the full version.

Full Flash is faster but still no GPU support. More sites work with full Flash than Lite. Still no Hulu, Dailymotion or Veoh, but this is on purpose. If those sites do not "see" a desktop flagged version, they kick you out. Still, Skyfire browser converts Dailymotion and Veoh, so all is not lost.

Both Flash and Skyfire have surprisingly good quality over Verizon 3G. Especially Flash with the updated full Flash 10.1, since improved over Flash Lite 4.

added:

Full Flash 10.1 would rock on the N900. If Nokia does not at least give users Flash Lite 4, they (Nokia) are officially dingleberries.

Adobe's Flash EULA limits this somewhat, unfortunately.

Apparently people are trying that already.

You can complain to Google as much as you want, but the fact is at SOME point in the near future sites will migrate to flash 10.1 en mass. The problem will come sooner or later.

N900 is not getting flash 10.1 (if we were Nokia would have announced it with fanfare like QT). So if you NEED flash 10.1 access, then bite the bullet and get another phone (Droid prolly) - cause you will be waiting in vain otherwise.
