I was rather vocal, designated the iPhone not an ideal phone for our organization. I wanted MMS out of the gate. Couldn't believe that a phone released in 2007 didn't have it.

Imagine my surprise that a phone released in late 2009 also didn't have it.

Then when the iPhone received MMS functionality, it was hailed a revolution.
I didn't like the late release. It bothered me. Still does.

The N900 was released without MMS, What's the difference??
2 years.

I'm not the sort of person to go "oh well, I have a 5800. I can charge my battery in that"

The MMS argument isn't really valid.

This is not an n900 vs iPhone thing. You are justifying the lack of mms by pointing to the iPhone.

If you own a product, the chances are you'd defend it staunchly. That is my point.

do you remember i don't no if apple still do it. they used to make ur ipods waterproof by putting some kinda plastic/lacquer coat on it. i dont see why they cant do this for the metal frame.

just been in the VF shop and was speaking to the manager and he seems to think that apple are going to be give away the bumpers for the iphone for free when i buy one. i just wonder if i will get my £25 back or able to pick up a 2nd one with a different color. if they do, do this. but would like the water seal plastic/lacquer on the metal plate better. so i can keep the looks of the iphone 4

I dont think the iphone problem is that bad since I lose reception with my n900 when i hold it in tablet form.I gotta say that the n900 has one of the most annoying reception problems ive ever had with a device.

In another news, even though Apple claims there is no problem with iPhone 4, it is hiring Antenna Engineers. Funnily enough, the ad appeared the same day when people started reporting Antenna problems. Think you can do the job? Here is the direct link to the Apple job site.

That is quite funny! Maybe they should have looked for an "Antenna Engineer" some time ago!

Apple's responses to this problem include denial and...more denial.

http://edition.cnn.com/2010/TECH/mob....html?iref=NS1

So if this problem is annoying you, be sure to take your iPhone4 to the nearest Apple Store for some denial
