Ive noticed that after updating my n900, I sometimes cannot use the up and down arrows on my keyboard to move up and down a web page correctly with the built in browser as I had done before. I press the down arrow key once for a brief moment at the top of a web page, and the window will scroll too far down (keeps going with my hand off the button), sometimes right down to the very bottom.

It does not seem to be related to the current web page not having fully loaded up when I tap the arrow key, although I used to think it did. When reading large pages I prefer to tap the keyboard up and down arrows than having to use any screen pen, so I am wondering if there is a way to stop everything scrolling too far up or down a page? thanks. It never happened before the update, unless there is an option I may have accidentally changed in the built in browser?

its not just me then! if the keyboards arrow keys main purpose hasnt been changed, i would like to find out how to stop the "over-scrolling" ..if anyone knows?

Its similar to all the installed programs now being listed on the one page after the update (underneath "settings"), i just wish nokia had given the option to actually use the new formats OR the previous ones, otherwise it just becomes slightly awkward for those that have gotten used to the phones previous look, feel or control. Is it the lack of important updates forcing nokia to change everything, haha-jk. no seperation between all of the default and user installed programs after settings makes it slightly messy too. these changes after the last update are not major problems, but why update with unecessary changes and no options at all, if it could well be a 50/50 in what users preferred does anyone know if there is a way to assign keys to scroll with the built in browser? or will i have to try another browser instead?-thanks

Me too. Very annoying.

https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10289 seems to be the bug page for this bug. Vote for this bug, and maybe we'll see a fix or a workaround.

Would be nice to get this fixed somehow...

EDIT: I was beat to the point by stlpaul... Don't I look redundant now

I don't get your scrolling problem with the keyboard but it happens when I tap to zoom, it'll fly off up or down the page and you have to drag it back sometimes by many pages.

Now all that's left is to funnel all this positive energy into a fix for this issue!
