Can somebody help me check & confirm this. I updated from FF1.0.1 to FF1.1 via the normal application manager. Now it seems all my local html files are now opened in FF instead of MicroB. It even affects some apps that use html for documentation.

Is there any way to edit the file associations on the N900?

This seems to work for me, go to 'about:config', search for 'plugin',
select 'plugin.default_plugin_disabled' and press Enter. Then, select
'plugin.disable' and press Enter again. They should both be bold and false.

I had to restart my browser a few times, but it seems to work.

Try installing Browser Switchboard and setting MicroB as the default browser.

Enable flash:

1. delete /home/user/.mozilla/fennec and /home/user/.mozilla/firefox folders
2. start Fennec
3. enter url about:config
4. search for plugin
5. set false to plugin.default_plugin_disabled and plugin.disable
6. restart Fennec

It's not necessary to delete those folders to enable flash. Only change the 2 plugin settings and restart.

is it possible to disable the auto zoom function for text input? it gets annoying at times. I also think it is annoying because pressing the down arrow in a text box (like the one I'm using to type this message) goes to the next field. can that be changed?

Why even enable flash in firefox, everything works real sluggish on youtube and on other sites, flash 9.4 can't even manage 360p video in a flash container, 240p is the only option.
