message returned " unable to install" , any one has the same problem ?

Try installing it with apt-get in the terminal. If it not work. Give us the output here.

1. root
2. apt-get install freoffice

You might need to install rootfs if you haven's before. It can be fetched from the Application Manager.

GREAT!, do you guys know if the only differences is the new creating/editing features?

I was wondering if they made any other improvements. Sometime when I use it to view powerpoints some things would not show up or the formating would be display incorrectly in some word documents.

Oh this is Super Cool!!!!!! I was waiting for this kind of Software for my N900, thanks I will strat testing now.

thanx. openoffice should be standard. hate that everywhere they use this damn microsoft standards, even at my college. it's a shame that students and common people need to pay money to work with documents (and it's not the question of money for me. but the question of my believes) i

Sure why not, would considerably help educate people about the technical age we are obviously leading.

It's sad when some people have never touched a computer. . .

And by free I meant some cheap "it works" computer not a overclocked fire breathing behemoth.

Application shuts down when I try to open .xls file.
And only word document (left choice) is available when creating new document.

Any idea?
