What's wrong with it?

Lower price = More users
More users = More interest in the platform
More interest in the platform = More developers for the platform
More developers for the platform = More good apps for all of us

More good apps for all of us: good thing!

Not too surprising considering the rate in which the technology is evolving.

I dont think even in next 2-3years there will a cell phone that can beat N900 as far as features are concerned.. No Iphone, No Blackberry or No Google can give competition to Nokia.. N900 is the ultimate device..

I'm pretty sure in 2-3 years there will easily be a phone to beat the N900. I think that when the N9 comes out that will be the first device to trump the N900.

Mh, that's the right direction...

I want a second N900 for maemo/meego development and some testing and I wouldn't pay for this more than 100€. Let's hope the fees at eBay are going in the same direction! (with even a higher speed)

Depends on how locked down Nokia is planning on making it.

Anyway, there are tons of smartphones (and even phones) that beat the N900 in its phone and typical smartphone app functionality already.
