Hmm...
I always though the 770 was quite capable of achieving YouTube playback, but with the combination of factors such as "unofficial" OS 2007 support, Flash 9, "sketchy" browser support, etc. it doesn't seem likely to ever happen.
Get a N800 or wait for newer tablets to come along...

i dont think the 770 is powerful enough... even on the 800 they stutter until bufferred.
I'd recommend getting familiar with the latest versions of both UKTube and mplayer. I installed them it on 770 and it works beautifully. UKTube now starts playing while it is still downloading so its as good as streaming... yet smooth! I guess the flash browser applet makes it sluggish in the browser.

i seem to remember reading somewhere that the n800 has a fraction of the bandwidth of the 770 when it comes to its graphics subsystem. ill try and find the link.
i also remember when i first purchased my 770, you tube was not yet on flash9 and it -worked-.

I thought the only difference in the n800 and 770 was that the n800 had a camera and more RAM (maybe more disk space also?)

Oh, yeah, I knew that. The 770 has a 250 Mhz ARM processor and the n800 has what? 300? 400?

there's lots of ways to watch youtube videos on the 770. I even hacked up some perl scripts to download them for viewing anytime (without the use of another machine or any file conversion nonsense)
searching around will find you plenty of ways to do it.
..but as far as streaming them goes...its what pipeline said about UKTube.

2007He2007.36-2 MMC 2006OS flash/MMC 2G
Youtube on Opera/2006Os wont load.
Youtube on 2007He/Minimo wont load.
Youtube on 2007He/Opera load pics, but crash upon streaming.
Youtube on 2007He/VNC viewer wont load, a black square.
Youtube on 2007He/rdesktop, load, watchable, and wont crash, but no audio or I have not figured out how to set audio.
Anybody find anything different, or any other combination and get better results than above?
