There is an easy way.

download this file into /home/user:

http://downloads.nitdroid.com/Jay-c/...t-0.1.x.tar.gz

Then run this as root in the device:
Code:
cd /home/user
tar xzvf remove-multiboot-0.1.x.tar.gz
./multiboot-remove
rm multiboot-remove
rm remove-multiboot-0.1.x.tar.gz
Also, if you don't use Titans power37 kernel, you can manually delete the files:
Code:
rm /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.28.10power37
rm -r /lib/modules/2.6.28.10power37
That's it!

I've tried removing multiboot using instructions above...but I get error message:

Code:
cd /home/user
tar xzvf remove-multiboot-0.1.x.tar.gz
./multiboot-remove

Can't remove multiboot while running NITdroid kernel.
Switch to the original Maemo kernel and try again.
How do I do that?

I rebooted N900 with keyboard closed and booted straight into Maemo.....

Thanks!

Then it just choose's the deafault kernel (the last used), in this case the NITdroid one. Boot with keyboard open and then choose one of the maemo kernels, i believe it's 1 and 2. Then try again

You can always check the kernel by using conky. See the top line.
Mine looks likee this:
linux 2.6.28.NIT.02 (i'm using another kernel to make the radio module work). Should be kernel with omap1 or power37 in the end

I'm running into the same issue.
The Choices are
0.Maemo (Default)
1. Maemo 2.6.28-omap1
2. Maemo 2.6.28-10power37
3.NIT droid

We want to boot into omap1 then proceed with your instructions right?
4.NIT droid

Yes you need to choose a maemo kernel, probably best with omap1
