Can't figure out is it potentially possible to use this monster:

as N900 battery

It's just an external battery pack, that doesn't have a microusb output for power, so would need modding to use with an N900, as it's designed specifically for a beagleboard.
It's also not available yet by the look of it, might as well just buy one of the many many other battery packs designed to recharge phones etc.
One example is the Zagg Sparq, which has a 6,000mAh capacity:

Sort of screams mug me I have a laptop (even if you don't) though! 4-6 hrs for 3,000mah? So probably takes longer. Otherwise its neat.

How long does it take to charge your device? And how long is the charge stored for out of light?

the zagg battery unit would probably be smaller without all the porst and extra circuitry might be around the size of a normal phone battery mabye alittle bigger you'd think they would have a battery capable of that power output by now for phones
