Hey, Bundyo, you're still here looking at the thread -- how nice!

Is there any chance that there's a way to use the N8x0 DPad hardware buttons to scroll through web pages in tear one page at a time (Page Up and Page Down) rather than scroll through a line at a time? It's done with key bindings in this MicroB tweak (scroll to the bottom of the page).

I'll try when I get to it, which wouldn't be very soon.

maybe set something else then about:blank as the homepage should do the trick.
No it doesn't, never did... I even filed a bug way back when, and was promised a fix... When I launch it with Wifi off, Tear just spins around on a blank screen until I select something from my bookmarks (such as my home page :-).

seems the same issue as i have reported about externally provided urls (like say a offline email, or the tear-bookmarks widget).

Is there any way to use the Greasemonkey add on for MicroB

http://browser-extras.garage.maemo.org/news/3/

with Tear? I miss my favorite userscripts when using Tear.

hrmf, tear is really not cleaning up ram. Seems surfing image heavy sites can quickly fill ram and make tear crash.

and a little poke to check on the status of getting the features integrated with tear main.

Probably the memory gets fragmented with many image and since its rather limited it can lead to crashes. I can't do much good about that other than changing the engine (if I get it running that is).

if it gets fragmented, would the various programs see it as used?

Yes, they should.

Ah, should have thought so. Problem not so much the stuff that have left ram, but the stuff that is still in ram, making the leftover spaces spread out all over the place.

Totally unrelated to Tear, but i kinda recall reading about someone working on a memory defragmenter for linux.
