The phone freezes a lot when I edit the desktop. It just froze today when I was talking on the phone. It happened again 2x when I rebooted the phone. The screen was distorted. Also my signal/reception got bad eversince the last/latest upgrade. What's going ith this phone?

Battery, no. I do reboot every day or at max 48 hours to alleviate the widget memory frag issue (which is now a WONTFIX).

Hi,
my n900 shuts down on its own randomly, once or twice a day. it's a mystery for me, as i never play with extra-devel apps or overclock.
it just happened now, i was listening to music with Mediabox this time, and it just went off. Other times it's simply in standby mode. I wonder whether anyone has suggestions. I ran dmesg, and I see this message before any (re)booting:

wl1251: 151 tx blocks at 0x3b788, 35 rx blocks at 0x3a780

Any clue? thanks a lot!

I live in the tropics, I believe the coldest temperature on record, at least in the last 100 years or so, was 15.1 degrees C.

This means my N900 has never 'frozen' : (

Pretty sure that's the wlan transferring data. IMO unrelated. You should reflash clean and, if persistent, go to Nokia Service.
