i can't make up my mind whether it's malicious or just badly coded.

not knowing much about the packaging format, i can't tell if the package thinking it owns 'etc' would make it throw errors upon uninstall.

if you run dpkg -L immvibe and look at the filelisting, you'll see what i mean.

i have installed it now , and will write back how to remove it (if i could remove it)

Thank you for your hard efforts... Also one more note I've noticied since installing that program, it for some reason appears to have affected my N64 app updating (Forgot the exact name of the app) and it does it's most updating whenever Nitdroid updates. May not have anything in common but thought I should tell you.

to manually remove the package
as root do the following :
rm -r /etc/immvibed
rm -r /etc/init.d/immvibe
rm -r /etc/event.d/immvibe
dpkg -r immvibe
