should i flash my n900? it's original from nokia shop.
this is what i saw from the others forum.. should i?

**The flasher only works with windows 32BIT
If you bought a new set we highly recommended you to follow all 14 steps

Step 1 to Step 8 = To update firmware ONLY data still intact
Step 9 to Step 14 = To Flash aka FORMAT internal memory only

If u take Step 1 to Step 14 = Aka update firmware and also erase internal memory together like brand new bought from shop**

No need to flash it. Just update (if it isn't already updated to latest release)...

The update would be shown as an update to the package "maemo" AFAIR.

I would say FLASH IT, when I got mine (in spring) the screen had some pink lines which disapeared after reboot, i had some more problems, I was sort of disapointed, but after reflashing device it worked PERFECTLY. Also updating with nokia software didn't helped much. It was a long time ago, maybe you have newest soft and it is all great, but i didn't

Go to Settings > About product > Version

If your version is 10.2010.19-1.xxx (xxx is your region number), or 10.2010.12-9.xxx, if it's a Hong Kong device, you are at PR1.2 and don't need to reflash unless you're experiencing problems.

Anything earlier (3.2010.02-8, 2.2009.51-1, 1.2009.44-1, 1.2009.42-11) you should reflash to the newest firmware.
