That's easily fixable though.
- Launch browser.
- Type "about:config" without the quotation marks.
- Press enter.
- Agree to be careful.
- Type "keyword".
- Tap "keyword.URL".
- Press enter.
- Adjust the search URL string to un-mobilize it. (i.e. "http://www.google.com/search?client-ms-nokia-maemo&channel=unibox&q=")
- Tap "Done".
- Close window.
I believe that was the first change I made to my N900 when I got it. The mobile search pages were too painful.

@agogdata no it can't be turned to something like that, becasue the widget won't allow you to write in it like on thw widget from the fist post.
