Yep you're right. I just looked back over the last posts and saw that this is the new look.

Funny thing is; I have rebooted after each update, and I still had the full-size menu icon on the left side until that last forced reboot.

So, anyway. Nevermind.

Oh, yeah...that Google search applet had to go...

Any tips on an easy fix for this?
I can confirm this issue as well. Only on the home screen.

@Mgamerz: Actually, I was mistaken, as this is how it is supposed to look now. See messages starting with this earlier post:

I saw that the icon is there but I spelled minimize with "s" (minimise) and had a crash desktop loop. Changed the icon and it still looks funny but it works.

I spent two days and eventually compiled hildon-desktop with following patches included:
  • Changing maximum number of applets in statusbar
  • Locking home applets
  • Working application menu while controlling tablet remotely via VNC or with external mouse
  • Possibility to override hildon-desktop in handling notifications (may be useful for telescope in future)
Cool :-)
I can not upload this build into extras-devel, because this will make all tablets to upgrade.
Correct, but there is a place for them now. Would you like to adopt these packages for the community SSU?

This really needs a way of using notifications. Having to use the built-in home button (bottom left on other themes) in the statusbar is still insanely annoying. This or telescope needs to fix this, otherwise this just disables use of an essential feature of maemo.

Uh, I might be in the minority here, but I actually don't like using Telescope as my launcher. Is there a way I could have the option of using the original maemo-style launcher menu with this theme?

The 6 blue squares in statusbar open the application menu or do you also want the navigator bar that runs down the left side and shows running apps?

One thing that I've noticed is that the little 'circle' you use for selecting desktop applets is SO far to the left that only about 1/3 of it is visible.
It that on my side only or a known issue?
