Ok, I will give a try to night again. Didnīt waited more than a minute.
For the backlight problem you can mount the SD on a linux OS and run this:
echo 255 > /sys/class/backlight/acx565akm/brightness
That will solve the backlight no lighting
Got it from here:

Good luck to us all

Hey all,

I have downloaded the bz2 file and once I extracted the file i was left with a .raw.bz2 file. The problem is that I can not unpack the file to an img file ad put it on my sd card. So what should I do?

I think it's a safety thing, I booted Meego today (using a mac and a linux laptop and these instructions http://http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/N900/Install/MMC)

There is a warning at the bottom of the page that states their reasoning for having to flash the kernel every time. Doesn't bother me much, Meego 1.1 is just a looksee, 1.2 should be pretty good and this gives me heart to wait until April.

refer to the 2nd part of ur name..

no, 1.1 is better
"duh"
last two lines:
[ 2.548858] [<c0008a70>] (kernel_init+0x120/0x168) from [<c002c98c>] (kernel_thread_exit+0x0/0x8)
[ 2.562889] mtdoops: ready 16, 17 (no erase)

but a few lines above there is this one line:

[ 2.475097] No filesystem could mount root, tried: ext2 ext3 ext4 cramfs
[ 2.484710] Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(179,1)

But if I am not wrong, the microSD is not using any of those formats, isnīt it?
