Hey guys

We all remember the great 9500 communicator, and how great it was. That phone had a feature that I'm sure everyone finds useful which is the scheduled TXT messages. I remember scheduling happy txt to my friends few days a head so I don't forget, or schedule if I remember something I need from a friend to work on but its late at night so I schedule it next morning.
Even tricked my boss few times that i'm not ok while I'm a sleep :P
so this feature has many uses. How come no developer thought about it yet? I'm sure we have many great intelligent developers here that such app will be piece of cake for them.
its an Idea and I hope someone will work on it although I know everybody is busy with MEEGO now but lets see :P.

I like the idea. I think I read before that this can be done using acronschedule such as the alarmed app. Not sure how but I'd take a stand alone app for sure

if command line is enough, please go ahead and add scheduling function to that:

if you want to have gui, go ahead and make your copy of

you can simply write a script
using the sleep command
such as sleep 60
which means stay idle for 60
then to run the dbus command of sending a specific sms to specific number

You don't really need to be a "programmer" to do that, just a willingness to read (a lot) and and a capacity to understand.

and isn't it easier if there is a GUI app that does this things?
Absolutely. But who is going to make one
