Do I have to uninstall multiboot to work with uboot? (I think yes...)

i didnt have multiboor or anything installed, uboot only worked with the stock kernel, but this time titan has added uboot into his new kernel POWER 44..

so it is possible to use uboot with a modified kernel

so guys lets start installing meego .. yaay !

Just a note of explanation on what the issues between fcam-drivers and power-kernel actually are:

It comes down a single kernel version string check in the Linux kernel module installer. It's strict about compatibility, and won't let you install a kernel module unless it was compiled for the _exact_ kernel you're currently running.

So, every time there's a new version of Titan's kernel, we (the fcam devs) have to make sure Titan's uploaded the new kernel-headers package, and then we just need to increment our version number by one (so that we can resubmit it), and upload fcam-drivers into the repositories again. That way it'll get built correctly for the latest power kernel.

There's many problems with this whole thing, though: we have no real way to get people to update fcam-drivers (since it's not a user package), and if you want to keep running the older power kernel, the new fcam-drivers won't work for you - and as far as I know, I can't have two versions of fcam-drivers in the repo at the same time.

So we'll hopefully get the new version of fcam-drivers up soon - it'll be exactly identical to the previous one, just with the correct kernel version string embedded.

-Eddy, one of the FCam devs.

still stuck on crashing camera here.
contantly getting this error which prevents me to install anything:

/home/user/MyDocs # dpkg -i fcam.deb
dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/dpkg/available' near line 8577 package `kernel-power-flasher':
EOF during value of field `Maemo-Icon-26' (missing final newline)
/home/user/MyDocs #
happens to everything i attemt to install.
Some seems broken in the kernel. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling but all stays stuck on error.

Nokia-N900:~# apt-get install --reinstall kernel-power-flasher
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
kernel-hostmode-modules kernel-hostmode-flasher
kernel-hostmode
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following extra packages will be installed:
kernel-power kernel-power-modules
Recommended packages:
kernel-power-settings usbip mtd-utils kexec-tools
The following packages will be upgraded:
kernel-power kernel-power-flasher kernel-power-modules
3 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 10 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/5213kB of archives.
After this operation, 532kB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]? y
dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/dpkg/available' near line 8577 package `kernel-power-flasher':
EOF during value of field `Maemo-Icon-26' (missing final newline)
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)
any hints on how to get things fixed?

EDIT:
found solution:, dpkg was corrupted.
fixed:

sudo rm /var/lib/dpkg/available

cp /var/lib/dpkg/available-old /var/lib/dpkg/available

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-389997.html

all updates installed fine now.
camera working again, same as h-e-n

i had both FCam and BessN900 (sp?) installed on my device. When i try to install these new drivers i get "Unable to install 'fcam-drivers' Incompatible application package. Tried running both FCam and Bess, and Bess wouldn't start, while FCam started and froze. The scary bit came when i tried to run the native camera app. It wouldn't start either. i uninstalled FCam and Bess and the old FCAM drivers using app manager, and now the original camera app runs again. Tried again to install these new FCam drivers, and still get the 'incompatible app' message.
