Pidgin gives me SSL errors when I try to log in. Sometimes it works, but most of the times it will suddenly kick me out of MSN saying that the SSL cert didn't match.

Anyone else having this problem?
Any fix for this?

I have the same error in the last week, but I could connect sometimes during this period...

I think we have only pidgin as IM app with support for MSN, and I wouldn't like to connect using client from web...

The certificate for omega.contacts.msn.com could not be validated.
The certificate.chain presented is invalid

I had the same problem with my desktop, should be the same solution. The certificate is expired and deleting the certificates (msn ones) from the options and let pidgin connect again (to download new certificates again).

As for MSN, there's a temporary certificate problem (if you're getting an SSL error, that is)
Go to /home/user/.purple/certificates/x509/tls_peers, and replace the contents of omega.contacts.msn.com with this

Noooooo
It still doesn't work....

Edit:
It seems to work for me now when I completely remove Pidgin from the N900,
then go to xterm and removing the certs:
Code:
sudo gainroot
rm /home/user/.purple/certificates/x509/tls_peers/*
after that, install Pidgin back again and it works! yay!
