Ah. I thought you were using an indonesian language setting but you are just using the usual english one. So much for automatic language detection

The solution is easy if you know how to use a text editor in linux. Open up index.html and replace the line

"en-GB": "english",

with

"en-GB": "indonesian",

If you have problems let me know and I will make a custom index.html for you.

Edit: I just realised that maemo doesn't support the same set of languages a ovi maps so most languages will require editing of the file

No idea what you are saying, but the attached index.html will use the indonesian voices

Tested few and latest CormacB's index.html works perfect and POI fast. But still cant make voice navigation to work.
html folder contains index.html and english_us voice
/usr/share/nokia-maps/html/index.html
/usr/share/nokia-maps/html/english_us with all .wav files and config.xml still no voice.

You can test your wav.files by Browser.
Launch microb Browser and then browse to
file:///usr/share/nokia-maps/html/english/english_male
Pick up some file. It should start your player and you should hear the voice

By that way I found my installation faults and got it working.

Thanks for everybody who have contributed this beta. It's good and actually quite easy to make work

koijann: was it my version you got working?
ed00 & lifenexus: do you get a message about not being able to load config.xml?

I will work on a version with more error handling so it is easier to find problems.
