Revenge is never good in my book, but yes everyone has their own opinion and is always nice to here different views on life and the universe...
they all suck and rule in their own way.

I think what he meant was it does almost everything 'he' did with his n900.
but he posted what the n900 did that his xperia cant do and visa-versa

btw what in his post was opposite of what you believe?

If it were not for the low resolution (320x240) screen I would have a Xperia Mini Pro.

unfortunately neither of these things ever worked easily or even reliably well
BINGO. I felt your pain about two weeks ago.

Don't get me wrong, I will be eagerly watching nokia in the next 12 months to see how this meego lark works itself out
Don't get your hopes up. With this Nokia-Microsoft partnership next week, Nokia will likely put out Symbian and Windows Phone 7 devices and put MeeGo on the backbacker like they did Maemo.

not really sure, his post is way too long, i don't know if i even read the whole thing. it's just... a big advertisement for android. if people like android, good for them. it's just too locked down for me, might be open source but closed development and needs rooting. and i hate sony enough to never buy their phones. they can't be trusted anymore.

If you had read my post you would see that I only left maemo grudgingly but have tasted the dark side and it's not as bitter as I thought.

Can someone fill me in on why sony are so evil lately?

sony isn't evil.
they make great tvs, gaming consoles, sound systems and so on
but their phones are really bad.
i had several sony phones in my hands and there were all crap and slow like hell.
my friend has a vivaz and is really sad with it.
but i never tested android ones they were all symbian, maybe thats the point.

i don't have a problem with your choice, i just wouldn't buy THAT android phone. I'd only consider an official google one so i wouldn't get stuck waiting for the updates.

not evil? well they sure aren't honorable either...

There's a morbid fascination in watching the vultures gather to pick over the bones...

Good Luck, bandario. and thanks for your dignified, sincere and brave swansong. The reality is that many of us will see you again on some forum for another platform, somewhere, in the future.

The world moves on, and nothing is forever - facts that some around here fail to grasp.

My use case is as individual as yours, but I concur with your email experience on N900. Trouble is, no-one builds hardware like Nokia and much as I'd like to try Android I'd miss the fantastic camera with lens cover to activate, keyboard with shortcuts, configurable hardware buttons, replaceable battery, kick stand, and most of all, Maemo.

I am not a linux geek. Although I can perform basic tasks in terminal and have probably been more lucky than skilful in deploying scripts and potentially risky apps, all that stuff is a bit esoteric to me.

But I know I'd miss all that if I jumped ship so I'll sit tight for now.
