i've updated it,, but nothin changed everything is still horizontal

Open X-Term
vi /usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini
Search for "forcerotation" and then change its value to 1 (default is 0).

How did you force the T9 keyboard to appear in portrait mode. Mine seems to default to a QWERTY keyboard, which is too small to use in Portrait mode. Your way is better...

I've installed:
-FastSMS / FastSMSEvo - portrait virtual keyboard
- I already had CSSU.
