looks like embedded java applets currently only work in chromium (and a workaround is needed).

check out this thread for more info.

Iced Tea is obsolete. Get Java SE 6 Update 21 for Embedded Arm Linux Headful Version from here You have to manually install and configure it. There is a big thread here on TMO that explains everything. If you set it up correctly you have full systemwide java support. Works inside microb, firefox 4, chromium and also for java apps like jdownloader.

Yes and yes. you have to remove icedtea before installing it.

Instructions:
Follow points 1 to 8 in this post

Do this to enable java in firefox and microb (chromium will autodetect no action needed, no java in opera afaik) courtesy of tmo user 654321

Code:
ln -s /opt/ejre1.6.0_21/lib/arm/libnpjp2.so /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libnpjp2.so
ln -s /opt/ejre1.6.0_21/lib/arm/libnpjp2.so /home/user/.mozilla/plugins/libnpjp2.so
Then in microB and Firefox type about:config in address
Search for java
Change java.java_plugin_library_name to libnpjp2.so

To use java midlets (J2ME applets) you need to install microemulator 3. Instructions here

Just a question regarding this..

casketizer has said that you can use Java Applets and to do this install Microemulator 3. But can you use Java applets which are embedded in the webpage by simply browsing the page in MicroB.

Thanks
