my n900 cannot connect to the internet.
there is no problem when connecting to wifi/2g/3g but i cannot open any webpage/have no access to any site (of course i have restarted several times).
neither microB nor ham get an internet connection.
I also cannot connect to the servers of my unis vpn (connecting to that wlan works fine) neither via openconnect (gui and xterm) nor via webbrowser (there is a starting page, opening before that error was no problem and a friend of mine can open it still).

i am using cssu 14.1, last thing i did with it was to actualize my catalogues and update calendar home screen widget; and i was using openconnect gui to connect to my unis vpn and closed the gui when being still connected to the internet (dont know if it is important, but it was the first time i did it). funny enough all catalogues were not updated (says ham).

thanks in advance for any help!
so what can i do (except reflashing)?

result:
Code:

Code:
route
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric
   Ref Use Iface
default * 0.0.0.0 U 0
0 0 gprs0
EDIT: i have reflashed the phone, because it has been a while since the last flash and i need internet tomorrow.

EDIT 2: problem may be solved (haven't tried it out) by checking out: this

hi,
try the solution in post #3 via the link in edit2.
in short:
first of all, you have to close all connections (probably)
in xterm:
Code:
root
Code:
vi /etc/resolv.conf
press "i"
delete EVERYTHING in this file.
enter now in the clean file:
Code:
nameserver 127.0.0.1
press ESC in the bar at the end of the screen and write:
Code:
:wq
which saves the changes made to that file and closes the editor.
now internet should be running ok. (note: that's how i solved it, there's no warranty that it will work for you.

Hello all. An update on this because I suddendly lost my internet connection after a reboot, and I searched and found this thread.

Just like sirpaul, I lost internet while having wifi and 3g connected.

I also checked that both connections were fine, and the best of this was that I could ping my router hand have an answer back from it, but not from the internet.

So I checked the

Code:
nameserver 127.0.0.1
stuff, and found it right configured. So I changed it to

Code:
nameserver (my ISP dns provider)
and it worked!!

So I think that something related to DNS stop working. I know this is a workaround, but maybe it gives hints to others on what to check.

THANKS!!!
