only 3% battery loss overnight, wifi+mobiledata on, tohd disabled. I'm happy with that, less drain than my android phone

just make sure the daemon isn' t running any more

system mask tohd.service will not end the daemon. You have to stop it separately with systemctl stop tohd.service.

You can check the inactivity with systemctl status tohd.service

Just run it as normal user in terminal. It will give you list of processes. Copy the result here. ps = process status

Looks like this if you have stopped it:
Code:
zlatko@toshiba:~/misc/jolla$ ssh jolla
nemo@192.168.2.109's password:
Last login: Mon Dec 23 14:05:48 2013 from toshiba
,---
| SailfishOS 1.0.1.12 (Laadunjärvi) (armv7hl)
'---
[nemo@localhost ~]$ ps aux|grep tohd
nemo 14876 1.0 0.1 5656 844 pts/1 S+ 18:45 0:00 grep tohd
[nemo@localhost ~]$
Just did that and without doing the trick I have 2 lines :

irq/351-toh-eve
/usr/sbin/tohd

after doing the trick, I get only 1 line:
irq/351-toh-eve

so what is this line ??

After I unplugged my Jolla this morning, I kept wifi and 3g always on too, with android whatsapp open all day. 10 hours later, 80% of battery juice is still there.
EDIT: I was mainly on wifi though.

irq line should be there so ok.

if /usr/bin/tohd is not shown it means daemon has been shutdown as expected

31 hrs since charge and still at 33% including 30 minutes trial navigation with NavFree. Even restarted a couple of times after putting a simcard.
I am starting to be impressed.

so, the final result with disabled tohd: 36h10min to the first battery warning at 10%. phone was connected to either wlan or mobile data the whole time, and my jabber account was connected most of the time. Email syncing is set to every 30min. I did quite a bit of surfing and mailing, also chatting over jabber, listening to musik and demonstrating the phone to others.

With enabled tohd I got about 1/3 of the time under similar usage.
