Can you run tweetian from console and post output here?
Code:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/qtm12/lib /opt/tweetian/bin/tweetian

If you want to have debug info or logs or something from my phone, I'm available.
I confirm this. On my N900 (CSSU stable) the latest Tweetian version still crashes when running in background or when the screen is locked. I wonder what may be causing this weird behaviour.

Can you turn of streaming (at settings page), and setup standart poll interval like 5-10 mins, restart tweetian and check if it stop crashes?
If this doesnt help - please install debug version run tweetian from console, and post output here, or DM me.

can you make log again with the following command (to catch the initial loading):
Code:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/qtm12/lib /opt/tweetian/bin/tweetian > ~/MyDocs/twettian.log
whole command is a single line, no wraps.

then attach "~/MyDocs/twettian.log" file here.

I copy/pasted the command in X-Term and the .log generated is empty but in X-Term I can see all the lines of the previous txt and in the beginning:
Translation for "es" exists
Cache is obsolete, try to rebuild a new one..
Theme "base" does not exist! Invalid inheritance

It crashes when in background with segmentation fault.

Let's try the last one
Code:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/qtm12/lib /opt/tweetian/bin/tweetian > ~/MyDocs/twettian.log 2>&1
That should do the trick

Hi, followed your advice. At the settings page streaming was turned off already, but to be sure it is set to off I turned it on and immediately off again, then set the autorefresh poll interval from off to 5min. and restarted tweetian. Then started some other small apps. Tweetian seemed to be stable when running in background. But after some time (10-15min) when switching back to tweetian from another app it happened that clicking on the tweetian window in the task switcher view *plopp* tweetian vanished. I will download the debug version and test it tomorrow.
