Didn't they say that the N9 was expensive because of the complex machining of the polycarbonate body and the curved screen?!?

If N9 price doesn't go down, conspiracy theories prove to be true.
Yeah but the N9 has an OS that doesn't suck :P

No need for conspiracy.

That 420 is tax free price. Add about 20% of VAT and the price is very similar.

Nokia probably pays royalties to use WinPho 7.5.
Harmattan is free.

420 * 1.2 = 504
I can still see a 100 EUR difference.
Is the N9 screen that much more expensive than the 800 screen?

Yeah I know that was just a joke. I just came up with another one since lumia means whore and it's also cheap so in a few words it's one cheap whore it will probably give the 0,0000004% of the market share STDs

Its still just Nokia's recommended price for retailers. Lets wait and see what real life prices are. I suppose the final price WP7 phone will be bit cheaper. Nokia propably eating profit margin in order to increase sales.

That NFC and front-facing camera don't install themselves, you know!

Prior to about two weeks ago I was using my N900 on AT&T with the $10 MediaNet plan. No issues for two years. Of course, I could only use GPRS/EDGE with the N900, but that was ok because I have good WiFi coverage both at home and at work.

The N900 never showed up in my account. It was always "unknown device". I guess because AT&T didn't have it in their database.

Two weeks ago I picked up an International Galaxy S2. It does show up in my account but so far they have not changed my plan. So now I'm curious how long have you been using your GS2 with AT&T.

Anyway I'm thinking that if they haven't charged you for the SGS2 it seems unlikely that they will for an N9.

Exactly. the n9 has front facing cam, and NFC and 1gb ram and is pentaband AND it has support for even WIFI a, unlike the 800. The 800 lacks all these. I'm partial to the 710 though, it has physical buttons and it's cheap, and has micro SD card support up to 32 GB yay (according to the specs at least). Removable battery too it seems. Kinda dissapointed in the 800 tbh, I would get the n9 instead.

Comparing the 800 to the n9, the only thing that is better about the 800 (disregarding OS) is the processor, everything else the n9 is better overall.
