I would think the more the better, but no goals
I'm hoping the launch is solid and the reviews are overhwhelmingly positive. That will help drive sales forward. The preorders are mainly enthusiasts. Mainstream audience has yet to be tapped

I just noticed that the Engadget's preview video of the Pro1 has 200k views. And that is just Engadget, many other big tech media covered the topic. That is pretty encouraging for what could have been just a niche device. Hope this actually reflects the interest of people and that a significant part will commit to purchase.

I think lots of people will only buy when its available for sale, most will not bother to pre order. I think there's much more interest than what is revealed in pre order numbers.

Can your wasmachine run on 2800rpm? You need to tune it that way to get the laundry as dry as wardrobe ready! (of course there will not be much left of your clothes but hey you tuned it!)

Why you think you need to overclock it?

Can't....resist....

He wants to sell his car so he can ride his overclocked F(x)tec Pro 1 to work every day.

Why yes it can, but I don't think the drum assembly or it's engine will like it.

(overclocking the fxtec, why the hell not?)

Do you really consider it as a substantive question? Why do you even ask? Do you think that Pro1 will be unusably slow and therefore overclocking is needed and you must get the answer before making the decision whether to buy it or not? Or do you just have an urge to overclock anything, from washing machines to smart TV's? Like, if a device can be overclocked, you have to overclock it?

I live with someone who always adds extra salt to her food as soon as it arrives on the table. Without tasting it first.

Some people are just like that.
