It's really cool to see this project is progressing.
So, about how far along are we, anything usable yet? Is there a .deb package or a repo to download it from? If so, does it make sense yet to install it for a bit of testing?

@fmg, if there was still a problem, than thx. For me it failed no matter if executed before or after maemo-optify.

Just wait until hosting problems get fixed

But you might just follow these instructions and try

1. install the linaro target, but do NOT touch maemo-sdk-debug, maemo-core-debug, nokia-apps, nokia-binaries (it's not needed here)
2. clone the repo: https://github.com/marmistrz/embedlite-components (do not use your source, it might be borked)
3. Do not install anything but the depends.
4. Install maemo-optify
5. Build

Last but not least - do not mess with dh7, or newer autotools - they can only do harm, are not needed here.

Btw. built the browser. (fixed the dh_md5sums error by manually creating the usr/bin folder). Not gonna upload it right now due to the problems with my hosting. For source, visit my github clones.
Thanks for the comments. fmg helped me sort it out last night, the problem was I was using hathor with squeeze tools as it was what the installer had setup, instead of apophis+etch tools. I managed to downgrade to test it and it worked fine. Also tried hathor+etch but it didn't work either. Downgrade seemed to leave a few issues unmounting binfmt_misc, so I've rebuild VM with correct version of scratchbox, just need to set up GCC472 target.

fmg also sent me a test UI using Qt without QML someone made a while back. Gonna take a look at it tomorrow whilst finishing off setup.

For anyone else: beware wiki page (http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/...K_Installation) is using hathor.

Great, just get GCC472 target setup again and go to pull in mozilla-central to find github disabled it.

git clone output contains following.
Access to this repository has been disabled by GitHub staff due to excessive resource use.

Well, do you have the xulrunner built? If not, maybe simply use the existing builds, for the time being, until the repo is repaired.

http://marmistrz.net63.net/public/mozilla/

I have a local copy of my clone but it's too big to be uploaded.
Will tmeshkova be informed about the disabled access so that she can fix it?

/edit: note, xulrunner is being uploaded please wait before downloading

Seems to affect mozilla/mozilla-central and all forks.

I have xulrunner that I built with hathor VM before I got the embedlite-components error, I wanted to rebuild as there was a large embedlite merge since then and to test setup.

I'll download your debs for now, will see if geckotest builds in current state.

Edit: Repo back up

My builds might be out of date too... But I'm not sure if much has changed. It's all linked nevertheless.

Quite a few changes merged in: https://github.com/tmeshkova/mozilla...12e15ee41e91ff

geckotest builds and runs, although it doesn't do a great deal.

Ok, so mine is out of date. Gonna pull the changes and build in a couple of days.
