Packaging doesn't look that bad, and seller says its 1600mAh...

But at $7.89 i'm almost sure they will send me a piece of garbage
Update, i can confirm now that those things are crap, one died after some days of use (didn't hold a lot of charge anyway) and the second one doesn't even charge.

Damn, it seems like there aren't decent batts for the N900 anymore.

I don't know if those are the real deal - I hope they are and they sure look they are by the packaging. When my Scud arrived way back I nearly fell-over when I saw the box and little bag. Over-the-top perhaps, but stylish.

My Polarcell arrived in cellophane and swaddled in scruffy bubble-wrap. Ah well, rough diamond however: it shone and still shines in the n900.

I actually had a bad 'un with my SCUD but there are testimonies enuff to their basic good quality for m,e to think I had a (rare) dud.

There in fact appear to be Scuds now advertised on Aliexpress

AFAIK, Scud have many different type of package. They come on blue box or gold can or even blister pack.

which one is better? Scud or Polarcell?

Considering capacity, pollarcells seem to be the same as "good old fat scuds" (i.e. the best ones). I wouldn't be surprised, if they were exactly same cell from same factory

Sadly, scud made such a mess with changing actual cell on the very same product every month, that now I hardly trust them to provide the 1500+ mA variant. Pollarcells seemed to be stable, though.

Currently, I'm using good'old bluedream scuds bought from dr_frost_dk ages ago (but assembled into dual-cell just recently, after long storage) - 3400+ mAh relative capacity, after few months of constant usage. Those are really good cells, doesn't seem to lose virtually any capacity during storage (if stored properly, my method is to fully charge, then discharge to 3.8V [ little less than 80% capacity], and store - repeat every half a year or so). If pollarcell are same cells (or with comparable long-living capability), it's for the better.

2x questions to those with dual batteries:

Using a Nokia 1A AC charger (not dk-frosts external charging setup) how long does it take to get a full battery? I was wondering because if the charging profile tapers off and having double the capacity wouldn't that add significantly to getting a full charge?

Sorry if it's been mentioned before and I've missed it.

Also, has anyone checked for cell balance after a significant period of use?

My main concern..

TIA

If I am using Cantruchd's mod (with copper wires instead of soldering wires), how will I make sure if n900 is taking power from both the batteries?
The battery monitor shows from 4 or 5 hours.
and battery widget shows me 1142 mAh.
