What about implementing this killer-feature now ?

EDIT: actually, "point of white balance" is maybe not the right wording. I meant the location on the scene that you want to "see", especially useful for high-contrast scenes. (I think iOS has similar feature)

* Reworked toolbar animation to use opacity

@wolke I guess those are all the features you asked for ?
OH MAN!!!! this is like my birthday! thanks so much, this is literally everything ive ever wished my camera app did.

speaking of gifts, i just gave 75$ to GiveDirectly, which is an experimental charity that literally gives money directly to poor people in kenya, with an emphasis on transparency and empirically measuring results.

coz, you know, most of the time when i make a long list of fussy feature requests for an app, the dev doesnt IMMEDIATELY IMPLEMENT ALL OF THEM.

Do you mean metering mode? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metering_mode

I am not honestly sure if it's supported by harmattan or not. I have been trying to find out but cannot yet. Do you know if it's supported or not?

No.
I mean, you have a highly-contrasted scene, say a sunny landscape with half of the picture being a shaded area. If I focus on the sunny area, then the shaded parts will become even more dark. So I'd like to be able to have a pointer for focus and one for "exposure/color/etc" adjustment.

I posted a merge request which creates adaptation possiblity: different configs for N9/N950/...

http://gitorious.org/cameraplus/came...rge_requests/5

Confs still need to be written.

@the one who wanted it for Maemo5: you may want to ask some devs to include the cameraplus ui in camera-ui2 (cssu camera-ui)

Not sure whether this has come up before, but I seem to be missing icons.

Edit: ignore this, rebooted and it works fine. I misread the instructions and thought we only had to reboot if upgrading.

Reboot is needed. Guess that the icon cache should be regenerated on install

thats just restarting xsession/mthome, no?
i, personally, would advise against anything destructive, and instead merely suggesting a reboot with a notification.
