I truly wonder when will geeks honestly get that they've made it damn near impossible for anybody to market anything to them since they complain, gripe and nitpick about every-****ing-thing...

Hey, that's OK since it is just a game we are playing with marketeers, it is hacking their brains
Remember, to a real geek life is all games and play

Erm, no. It's marginalizing your buying power to where you'll just buy any-****ing-thing. Marketing owes geeks nothing. First to buy, first to whine, first to get burned... buy, consume, complain, get burned, repeat.

There's no hacking involved because nothing fruitful has come out of it. Your favorite OS? Marginalized. Your favorite phone? Better move to Azerbaijan to buy it. Your favorite games? Merged with fleshlight recommendations at Amazon.

I get where you're coming from and I know I sound serious - just won a hellafied argument with a fellow geek and he realized that not one commercial aimed for him was effective in convincing him or even enlightening him. In fact, think about it... what's the best thing you've seen marketing do for your sector?

To me, the more they leave it alone, the better off geeks are. Geeks are a marginalized, poorly documented and way lesser buying power than gays, women and certain other socio-economic groups that marketing is more geared towards.

Rant aside... I keep seeing bad commercials and products. Sadly, I know that geeks can't even agree upon which text editor or shell they like. No product will ever be good enough for a geek unless it is as barebones and open/free as ... well, GNU/Linux (or whatever you really ****ing want to call it this week)

Not gonna happen.

So my final countdown? For when a device delivers what geeks want and for geeks to stop marginalizing themselves with petty disagreements.

British food sucks and tends to be bland. American food is fattening and sucks. Both suck equally in my book.

Been there too many times. I just don't like British cuisine. As an American, I find our food worse.

Read this and weep my misinformed friend.
Let me quote from the intro:
"This extensive research shows the extent of this change, and reveals how Britain has come to the fore of culinary adventurousness in Europe."

The British are also excellent at Beer, Cheese, Whisky and even Wine.
