The filesystem is fat so chmoding won't help, but you can just run
Code:
sh adom-installer

Yeah there is an issue and it's that you should not save this to /media/mmc1 fat can't handle permissions correctly and they are necessary.

For this I'm just going to have to insist that this is saved to
/home/user/MyDocs/.documents/
and instructions proceeded from there. I can't even untar on the fat partition without errors.

I would still love to see this offline though.

Linux dude, any closer to packaging this together?

Thanks.

Addison: have you tried formatting your mmc to ext2 or ext3 and running from there? This is the only way it works for me on N900 (worth noting is that CSSU fixed gray chars not showing)

I'll try chatting with linuxeventually here soon once I see him again on Google Voice.

There was something he needed to do but had other projects that he was working on currently.

I should pester him tonight.

Now open Terminal and become root (the command varies)
if you downloaded the file to /media/mmc1/ then:
Code:

# tar xzvf adom-setup.tar.gz
# cd adom-setup
# ./adom-installer
When prompted press y and enter to install

OR

if you downloaded the file to "Documents" (default) /home/user/MyDocs/.documents
Code:
# cd /home/user/MyDocs/.documents
# tar xzvf adom-setup.tar.gz
# cd adom-setup
# ./adom-installer
When prompted press y and enter to install

Ta-da.

Code:
# exit
$ adom
(make sure to full-screen the terminal and decrease to minimum font-size or it will complain)
I followed this to the letter but I get this error
