I tried all recommendations cited here but I could not put skype to work. Thus I decided to remove skype and install it again. However, when I tried to install it again the old skype package was not available anymore.

Any tips for skype re-installation ?

For some reason, skype was not working for me either. Impossible to create a new account, and impossible to log in with an existing account. Trying to launch /usr/lib/skyhost/skyhost from the command line would give a segmentation fault error.

I ended up re-flashing the N900 firmware and it now is working fine.

I still have no idea what caused skype not to work initially...

I reinstalled actual firmware with NOKIA Updater, and Skype work fine now...

Today I was talking normally on skype with my friend and now it is not working at all... I can't log in and on PC I log in with no problems.

Anyone has same problem?? Maybe someone has some solution ??

I installed the last update for maemo 20.2010.36-2.003 and after that restored my backup
now i can't login to my skype account nor any other skype accounts

what should i do?

skype is out globally,not just on your N900....they should fix soon.
