Seems to be really common in Canada then, I wonder if it is our carriers.

I am considering wind, but they need to expand further into a couple areas before I can move over. I also have almost 2 years left on my contract, but I have a really good plan so I could likely get someone to pick it up if I put it online.

the first timestamp shows the time at which the message was sent.
the second one shows the time at which the "delivery confirmation" was received.

as it apparently works fine for most of the n900 users and you are all living in canada, it seems that this could be a country/provider specific problem.

Update...I just switched to WIND and it is working as of now, seems like its an issue with Rogers/Fido users only, good to know its not an N900 issue

I've been researching this issue, and I've heard that it's basically something up on the rogers back-end specifically with SMS.

The firmware on my N900 is also the latest one.

This is not a Canada issue. this is just n issue. I am in Chicago on Tmobile and my messages are lately 2 to 7 minutes off. I receive a message 7:54pm and I sent the one they are replying to at 7:58pm.

Same in Sweden (Teliasonera network). 6h and 1min off.

Tried with 2 different SIM-cards and same problem.

Outgoing SMS is fine. Incoming has this problem.

Found the problem. Set time zone update to "update automatically" and the correct time will be used.

I set it manualy to GMT+1 but then still show the "off" time.

This is a BUG of course.
