Exit the app manager before attempting the console commands!

yes! you guys rock.

everytime i restarted i would go back and see if i could uninstall it. then leave it opewn as i poped up x-term.

quite helpful. thanks again!

Hello

I have also this Problem and try your uninstall manuals, but it doesnīt work.
i have tried all things i know and this sametime protocols are there now, too.

i donīt know what to do now and how to uninstall and remove this sametime bonjour protocols.

I hope you know another thing, how to do this.

I have done this

sudo gainroot
apt-get -f install
apt-get autoremove

And that was successful, but the pidgin protocols are still installed?

Please help!! I tried everything man Sudo n what not, I cannot remove that piece of crap lol please help, does not even let me update my Maemo. I think its that protocol bonjour pleeasse help...

that has not worked!! sorry it keep saying
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1097 not upgraded.

Worked for me too. Thanks! No extra protocols anymore. After removing pidgin from app manager I rebooted and then did apt-get.

i got the same broblem, but im new to n900

so i have to install "Rootsh"
and when the rooth aplication is open i type "sudo gainroot"? then what? do i press something?

and after that i type "apt-get -f install" do i press something after that?

and finally "apt-get autoremove"? do i exit rooths now? and how do i exit it? cause i have heards it can mess my n900 up if i dont do it correctly

any help?
