i no its strange but it was fine before i installed those Apps... The other thing is the Associated Press that is preloaded on the N900 would not install it keept saying some files are missing which was totally weird...

Dude yes hold down the U button on the keyboard of the N900 to get it into to USB Mode and plug in the USB cable.. But it simply would not the screen would go into Dim lit and the computer would beep like mad as if you are reconnecting and disconnecting the USB cable... I could not go any further correct me if I am wrong as I have never flashed my N900...

Probably a lose USB connector.. it would explain the no charging and no flash mode problem.

What happened when you plugged in the charger? Did the led light up?

Nothing would light up with the mains charger in... But when i would connect it to the computer the Laptop would beep as a USB device is connected but nothing would show up really strange..

It's either the battery or the usb-connector. So sending it to repair is the right thing to do.

Yes, I've found that if you try to turn on or off your device while charging, it won't start until you do that trick.

I suppose it would be for safety reasons.
