Do not make me any attention. I apologize but do not know much English.

I understood that you needed to do so but you were talking about doing it yourself.

Sorry for the confusion.

techie you're a god
Can i ask you ... how have you found the d-bus command of the media player command ? (because i suppose they work with dbus) ...
It could seem a stupid question to you ... but i would like to create some other QBW .. and even use this to create scripts and applications .. (just like an application that can easily use some physical buttons for the media player..)
Tnx bro

@techie works like a charm - play/pause now, cheers mate

e: i've encountered 2 things now...

1. When rebooted i need to start the native player and stop it for the beecons to work.
2. The play/pause button doesn't work before next/previous is pressed after rebbot/nativeplayer is started/stoped.

Tried rebooting some 3 times still the same.

Did also try this with the old play/stop .txt and there it's only a start/stop in native player needed to make the qb's work and then they all work

(today was the first time i've rebooted since i made mediaplayer qb buttons)

It's black pclastic theme dark blue by D-Livil with my own tweaks. It's in extras-devel both the black plastick themes and addon packs

Wallpaper i got somewhere on the net...

Some of the tweaks i got from 'show off your maemo5 screenshots' and 'the truly epic mods' threads here on TMO

Yes I kinda expected that since it is independent of the status of media player.I am looking into it and just saw some hope for a fix.
Unfortunately no time to experiment with the idea I have right now.Will try later on and post if successful.

I dug a bit deeper into the media player's working and created new widgets.Now all are inter-related, so you could hit play on the media player and be able to hit pause from the QBW widget!
Also play/pause and play/stop no longer need different widgets.The default action is play/pause, to change it to play/stop change the first line of play widget from
Code:
action="pause"
to
Code:
action="stop"
As for the not-working-after-reboot problem I found out the cause.The pointer that maintains track of currently selected song gets erased after reboot, so my widgets don't know what to play or what is the next/previous song.How the media player keeps track of this is beyond me so unfortunately no fix for this However it should now require only a single press of play/next/previous in the media player to make the widgets work again.

Set the size of widgets according to your preference and images.The images go in the usual queen beecon directory.

Edit:
All updated again for another fix.Sorry for the inconvenience
Enjoy

Awesome work techie thank you!

I had trouble with the next/previous buttons too, so I just used the code from here

http://wiki.maemo.org/Phone_control#Media_player

And all seems fine now

I'm getting everything to show up on reboot by selecting 'update on startup'.

Kind Regards,
D4rKlar
