First, use fApMan. It's apt-get with a UI.
Next, select "Install applications", press "C" -> All (ADVANCED),
If you don't have it and can't install it then you'll have to use apt-get.
what you're looking for is called:
mp-fremantle-generic-pr.
- can you install that?

Did maemodder create some entries into /etc/apt/preferences?
If unsure post its content, else just remove the file.

It is possible that you somehow have both the fremantle v1.3 -pr and the cssu -pr files. This will cause conflicts.

In fApMan
- Press one of Install, Revove or Upgrade (doesn't matter which to start with)
- Press "S"
- - Select "All" (i.e. installed, not-installed as well as upgradable)
- Press "C".
- - select "All packages (ADVANCED)" (at bottom of list. It shows libraries and other non-user packages).
- Type "mp-f"

You will see two items:
- mp-fremantle-community-pr
- mp-fremantle-generic-pr

On selecting each, two buttons will be visible at the bottom of the screen: Install and No operation.
Which package has which button highlighted?

I think the problem is a conflict between the CSSU repositories. From the images you have posted, the package named mp-fremantle-003-pr is in the repository fremantle ssu 003, whereas the one named mp-fremantle-community-pr is in the repository community SSU.

To fix this conflict, disable the repository called fremantle ssu 003. In fact you can probably delete this one because I believe it's been superseded by the Community SSU repository.

To troubleshoot further, try this...
  • Disable All repositories.
  • Enable the repository Nokia System Software Updates.
  • Enable CSSU repository.
  • View application list (using All & All packages (ADVANCED))
  • type "mp-f", as before.

You have no -pr package installed by the looks of things. A -pr package is meta-package that installs a given OS version and the "hook" that OS updates look for to determine which version you are using and whether you can update. It is possible that in removing the -generic-pr, you removed other important things - you would need to check very carefully, and it would be quicker to back-up and re-flash. Installing -generic-pr is essentially a re-flash. Therefore, you will need to be careful and not install applications willy-nilly.

My suggestion, if it is possible would be to install the CSSU -pr package. However, if it needs an existing -pr then you'll need to start from scratch.

Have a look at this list...
NSSU may well be in listed in HAM but might not have been carried across to FAM if it was disabled when you installed FAM.
