Yes, wi-fi reception of N9 is weaker than other phones. Users in other forums are also complaining.

I'm yet to see any tests indicating how 802.11an performs.
Apparently most people still don't have dual-band routers/AP

All the feed-back RE performance I've seen about 802.11gn.
Indicates that it actually performs well, it just doesn't hold a signal well.
Could it just be some fine tuning needed?

I got actually very good signal quality with my router in N-only mode, but pretty horrible with G-only (connection dropouts, timeouts, very poor reception).

Both were pretty bad power-consumption wise though, so I quickly disabled wifi again completely. I noticed that my battery lasts a lot longer (about 10-12 hours more) when I'm on 3G only.

can't say I experienced any of this coming from the n9 kick-off party! I didn't have i microsim with me so I just used my N900 as wifihotspot. No problems what so ever, even on the subway!
And I'm on my neighbours wifi right now! No problemo!

After 5 days of using N9 and 70% of web surfing done using wifi, haven't had any problems there thankfully.

According to Nokia developers specs N9 got 802.11 b/g/n so is a really missing?

It's def. "A" (5Ghz) as well, it has been all along...
If they've change that now to PR1.1+, man I'll be annoyed.

i always found wifi to be trouble with all my gadgets and wifi capable things. for example some work better then others and there in the same place, i change my wifi settings a little and it's the other way around or 1 doesn't work at all. check things like what band it works bad or not on on your router if you change the settings. are there other wifi networks on the same channel or 3 channels off etc. an example would be turning on my ps3 and the laptop cant see the wifi network but everything else can. there anyone with experience with wifi and chips etc who can advise?
