Unfortunately, he's one of those who sees no reason to contribute to the Meego-Harmattan community.
Despite of that, SynoLoad seems only to be an interface to the download manager, but not to the files and media, so it would be much of a help for me.

Just in case somebody has the same idea:

The Synology disk station checks the user agent of the browser to see if we access it from iOS or Android. Only with those UA it will serve the mobile version.
So the obvious way to get it working on an N9 would be to fake the UA
I tried it on Firefox mobile as well as on my desktop firefox. In both cases the diskstation served the mobile version, and I even could log in. How ever, thats all that works. Only a plain blue window is shown.

The next point would be to port the Android browser (Name=?) to Harmattan.
If we get that working, then the mobile versions also should work.

As an FYI, I have a Synology DS212j running DSM3.2-1955; and N9 with PR1.1. Using romaxa's Fennec 13.0a1, I can browse my DS212j fine. It is a bit slow but it does work. I have not yet tried every feature in DSM.

It is quite redicilous...

Synology has one of the best mobile ExtJS/Sencha touch interfaces around and I can access the mobile and desktop UI with my playbook and the desktop with my N9. Everything works but these idiots release single apps for platforms instead of just providing the mobile UI as normal website...no it needs to be catered as APP for mainstream farts...

I hope we overcome this idiotic walled garden playgrounds for tech-kiddies soon which are only able to hit search + install buttons for theirs apps. I have great hopes in all the new mobile platforms competing for attention in 2013/14

Can the synology software be used on a linux distro? I could give it a try to create an app if it can be used without an specialised nas device.

No, the system is bound to the NAS and has a webinterface for desktop browsers and apps that actually also are build with the same technology around html/JS but packed as apps :-( instead of being additions to the normal webbased UI.
