Do I need to pay attention to some special step or does this work as usual with powerkernel?

Edit: and which bootmanager do I need to use? multiboot or uboot?

All ways for Meego you have to use uboot.

vanilla meego (i.e. the one you get directly from meego.com, including the N900 Meego Developers Edition) will not be distributed with proprietary technologies. it may be possible to somehow hack flash into it, but it won't work out of the box.
this has been stated many times already, here f.ex.

How? I don't see any uboot image for power kernel update yet.

Just put the image to your mmc and flash temporarily your kernel with flasher (instructions) to boot into Meego for one time. If you like it then make a dualboot with Maemo using uboot. Note that uboot and multiboot are incompatible.

I know that...but uboot and powerkernel 47 are currently incompatible. I have uboot now with powerkernel 46 but would like to upgrade without losing uboot.....

Or you can, you know, make your own kernel image of uboot+power47. If I could do it with the horrible newb-ness I was at when I learned how to, everyone else can too.
