Try another number in the bootmenu, mine works with 4 - external MMC p2

If you are using the latest froyo build the bootscreen animation is gone, so a blackscreen before booting into nitdroid...

To save some typing and storage space during installation the commands
Code:
bzip2 -d NITDroid-N900-0.0.5-1FroYo-GAPPS-Fixed.tar.bz2
cd /and
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/NITDroid-N900-0.0.5-1FroYo-GAPPS-Fixed.tar
could be replaced with
Code:
cd /and
bzcat /home/user/MyDocs/NITDroid-N900-0.0.5-1FroYo-GAPPS-Fixed.tar.bz2 | tar xvf -
Also, how long should the command "softupd -vv -v --local" take to run? Mine had been sat "Waiting for messages" for 10 minutes now.

sudo gainroot
softupd -vv -s --local

sudo gainroot
flasher --local -f -k /home/user/MyDocs/zImage-2.6.28.NIT.02

Using froyo 5-1-fixed:
after booting with wifi enabled an error message appears that system stopped working..
Giving two options wait or force close.

When pressing wait and then the powerbutton, after a few seconds I get 2 messages on the command line..
..- wl1251 could not get firmware: -2
..- wl1251 unloaded

and after pressing the powerbutton again, wifi is indeed disabled on the power menu.

I can re-enable wifi after that, but it won't work.

This behavior is reproduceable with every boot.

Hope this helps in troubleshooting.

Keep up the great work!

Fix for wi-fi

Apply patch:
http://gitorious.org/android-n900/ve...1c52d67ccccba7

And remove directory /data/system/wpa_supplicant in Android

Sorry, I did type the -s on the N900, but made the typo when writing the post on the PC.

I'm still getting the message, so I'll just flash it from the PC instead.
