@Rob1n: Can you please describe this a little more detailed please? Thanks!

Sure. For example, this post has some replacement battery icons, which it instructs to install into /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon, replacing the system icons. Instead, you can install them into ~/.local/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon and they'll override the system icons, but leave them in place.

Thanks, but sorry I am not that familiar with Unix directory structure...
What does " ~ " stand for?
I assume the " . " before local has a special function, right?
And where exactly is this path located in the directory structure?

Sorry, ~ is the user's home directory - /home/user on the N900. The . before local means that the directory is hidden normally (so running "ls" is X Terminal won't show it).

Using X Terminal, you can create the directory by doing:
Code:
mkdir -p ~/.local/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon
and you can change to the directory by doing:
Code:
cd ~/.local/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon
Unfortunately you can't use File Manager to get to the directory, but emelfm2 and mc should work okay.

It's just HTML and CSS. I've forgotten where it's stored (/usr/share somewhere, I'm sure)

Heres my signal and battery mods, did them to match the default "blue" theme, icon pack includes original icons also.

let me know if anyone wants orange versions.

Signal images go in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon
Battery1 images goes in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon
Battery2 images goes in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/hildon/

Download HERE

Enjoy
