Thank you very much!
Indeed I can see a lot of communication issues to the routing server in the log but I'm afraid that the log is not detailed enough to let me see the entire picture. I will create a special deb for you with increased logging and some additional messages that will give me a better overview of the issue.
Which device are you using?

Thank you. You really dont have to make a special effort just for my case. I can certainly live without waze.

I am using N900.

My fear is that you are the first to experience it and in the future some more will experience it aswell.

Well I thought it had something to do with my profile. So after a clean reinstall I've logged in under a new username and had the same issue on n900. I then tried an android phone with waze and had no issues.

So, my next step is perhaps flashing of n900 and trying waze again?

P.S. I'm also getting some funky errors with another application that I'm using so perhaps re-flashing is at this point a good idea

Indeed, I have been seeing this error every time I try to route for the past week or so.

Thanks for all of your hard work!

Ditto. Same routing problem.

With exception of known issues in v0.0.6 the routing was working perfectly. I briefly tried v0.0.9 and returned to v0.0.6 (after completely deleting all Waze folders). With reinstalled v0.0.6 the connection to routing server completely failed. I then completely deleted Waze folders again and reinstalled v0.0.6. Routing worked for about a week and now has started failing.

It is only the routing server that is failing. Downloads of maps and languages works perfectly.

What is the current correct URL for the routing server? I thought I saw a server update processed while driving.

Thanks for your efforts!

My waze port is based on the API that is working for Android's Waze 2.4. They have closed the source in version 3.0 which was released several months ago.

Could anyone with an Android phone check if Waze 2.4 still working correctly on thier phones?

If Waze are dropping support for the old API as part of a servers upgrade, it might explain the issue and if that is the case, I will change my release schedule, abort the planned UI changes and rewrite a more flexible request/response accessor to have easier way to move to the closed sourced 3.0 API. This is in the grey area of project legality which I have wished to avoid - but it looks like there is no other option.

Note: I am not working for Waze and they don't assist me in any way, so things will take time. please be patient

Two questions to all affected with the routing issue:
1) Did you try to navigate to a location that conatined non English characters?
2) Did you have a solid position fix when attempting to navigate?

In my instances...almost always routing from Favorites (those that have worked for months).

I will pay more attention to the GPS fixing of my location before attempting routing. Although Waze has become very good at anticipating my route and starting the routing without my invoking it! I must be too predictable...

This is my favorite app on my two N900's!

I have also navigated to my favorites only. The addresses are standard English characters. I did have a solid position fix each time. It fails constantly. I have also noticed that it displays: Preparing navigation voice: 0% all the time with the clean reinstall.

In addition I have tried qwazer app on n900 and it is able to pull the directions from the servers (altough it seems that that's all it does in terms of functionality so far)
