I don't think so. The NFC enabled Nokia speakers prove you wrong, sorry: http://gizmodo.com/5813989/nokias-ne...hones/gallery/

And isn't NFC just a pairing technology? It will still rely on your BT (mostly BT) for the data transfer.

By the Wikipedia, it seems to suport BT and Wifi. And those 2 technologies can stream audio fast enough for audio. Wifi can even handle video.

Lol, you guys are one tough crowd.. I will be waiting and seeing the support that Nokia will give this phone.. If it's going to be like the N900.. I guess I will be moving to another brand.. WP7 isn't for me.

If MeeGo really isn't dead in Nokia and will be supported just like WP7 then I'm in. Just like many others.

things i dont like:

-no hardware keyboard

-no customizable desktops- this is the part that pisses me off most!

questions:

1) any pics of the virtual keyboard available?

2) does the phone have a notification light like the n900?

But...
No keyboard, only one processor, not possible to change your battery...

I prefer keep my old N900 and say a big ... to Nokia !

I think you have misunderstood what those speakers use NFC for. They only use NFC to make Bluetooth pairing easier. Once the devices are paired, Bluetooth is used to stream the sound.

And NFC can be used for pairing Bluetooth devices and much, much more (but not replacing a FM trasmitter, sorry).

No no no no no no NOOOOKIAAAAAA

Is it a real upgrade for my N900? Hell no

Must I have a N9? hell YES

and it has to be BLUE

The only thing lacking is the U8500 and the HW keyboard, but it is simply too good looking to pass. Gotta have one.
