e: if your app manager doesn't show the app (it hopefully doesn't), RTFW (read the wiki) about extras-testing. I have a link to the wiki at my signature.

ee: I suspect you can't do it yourself so I'll help a bit

first:
http://wiki.maemo.org/Installing_unstable_applications
http://wiki.maemo.org/Help_testing_software (has pictures how new repo is added, extras-testing article doesn't)

and last but not least
http://wiki.maemo.org/Installing_applications
Just do what he said.

Fremantle Extras-devel free armel hideuseragent 0.3.7
you need to add extras-testing repo and enable it. after that you can search it and install with application manager.

(you didn't read the first wiki link I posted well, did you?)

after you have installed the app, a shortcut appears to settings where you can either modify, set or remove custom user agent.

e: and I am pissed because there is a wiki and all would be required from you would be reading it first and only after you have read it, ask questions about things that weren't explained in the wiki.

To disable it you have to go into the Phone Settings menu and the Hide User Agent program is found in the Connectivity section.
